Because I create so many out of the ordinary gowns I attract my share of  mature brides.  Let’s define maturity. I’ve found its pretty much a state of being–it can be any age woman who gravitates toward a more a tailored,  grown up look.  1940s chic is a great example.  If you think Joan Crawford in designer, Adrian’s creations you’re definitely zoned in.   Typically, a mature bride is over forty, has kids of her own and is marrying for the second or third time around. She and her groom aren’t  likely to be all consumed with getting the garter throw right or most of the other details that go with putting together the traditional bash. Instead the focus is usually on a meaningful celebration and one very special dress sans the layers of lace and ruffles. Here are a few ‘righteous gems’  I thought would go nicely for second time around brides . . .
