Wedding dress by Jean Desses, 1953 From ow.ly

Who thought we’d be seeing such diversity in pleats in 2013?  Recently designers happen to be turning out arty versions of pleat remedies on dresses which are rocking it lower fashion runways as well as in designer collections. Typically wedding gowns have probably the most pleated skirts you are gonna discover there–and recently we have seen some real creative bodice remedies too.  A-line and princess styles in heavier materials like satin moire and taffeta might have deep box or inverted pleats within the skirt.  How come some designers choose to pleat rather than gather?  Pleats lie flat and gathering is bulky.  And who needs everything extra  bulk within the waist or stylish?  The end result is going to be an continuous fall into line the bodice by having an even fullness within the skirt. There is however more to pleats compared to traditional bodice and skirt remedies.  Listed here are a couple of  occurrences in bridal I am absolutely swooning over . . .
